Cakes and cookies
140 g butter
700 g of apples cut in slices, 1 lemon juice, 50 g of sugar and cherries jam. Cook the apples in a pan with sugar and lemon juice. When the apples become soft, blend them until you get a puree. Let it cool.
Pour into a bowl the cakes mix, add the egg and the butter cut in pieces. Mix quickly the ingredients until you get a homogenous dough. Cover it with a film and let it rest in the fridge for 1 hour. After resting, spread 2/3 of the dough between 2 sheets of baking paper up to a thickness of half a centimetre. Cover with the dough the bottom and the edges of a baking tray with a diameter of 24 cm. Cover the pastry with the apple filling and spread up the jam. With the remaining dough, make some strips to decorate the surface of the cake. Bake at 180° for 30′.
